Some old OS map images of parts of the cluster
Lycogala epidendron or Wolf’s Milk. This surprisingly isn’t a fungus but a type of slime mould. Found on rotting alder May 2021
Inside the exclosure there are 20+ flowering stems of Cuckoo Flower Cardamine pratense but none outside where rabbits have grazed the stems off. The effect on pollinators must be huge over the whole cluster.
